President: Vittorio Gattari

Vittorio Gattari was born in Macerata in 1992, but lived his whole life in Lecco, the pretty town made famous by The Betrothed.

After high school, he enrolled in a master's degree in Law at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan.

He is a sport, politics and technology enthusiast, and he loves travelling. In 2014 he did his Erasmus in Barcelona, where he fell in love with the city as well as with ESN. Back in Italy, he joined ESN Unicatt Milano, covering different roles, including two mandates in the local Board.

In his time in ESN he organized many events, acquiring many useful diverse skills.

In 2017 he was head of the Legal Affairs Committee of ESN Italy and of the Organising Committee of "SWEP Milano 2017", the biggest international event of the Network recently held in Italy.

In December 2017, during the National Platform of Catanzaro, he was elected President of ESN Italy for 2018.

After one year spent guiding the association, with many important results obtained in the institutional field as well as in the growth of ESN Italy, in December 2018, during the National Platform of Bergamo, he was re-elected President for 2019. He is the second President in the history of ESN Italy to carry out two mandates.

 

Vice president: Attilio Apostoli

Attilio Apostoli was born in Ascoli Piceno, a small town in the south of the Marche Region, not far from the border with Abruzzo. He's always loved cats and he owns thirteen of them, he loves to travel in his free time, and when he is home he tries to go to the cinema at least once a week. After trying out basically every kind of sport and after graduating from high school, he enrols in the degree of Sport Sciences in L'Aquila, where he graduates in 2015 and then starts a master's degree in Preventive and Adaptive Sciences.

In L'Aquila he discovers a very different world and his passion for travelling remains in his heart, so, after a period of InterRail, he finally decides to leave for his Erasmus in Spain, in Lleida, a cold town of Catalonia, to still feel close to the climate of L'Aquila. After 10 intense months abroad, back in Italy, he gets closer to the local ESN Section, and he gets immediately carried away by it, so much that after less than a year he runs for President of the Section, a role that he will keep for two years. After that, he doesn't hold back, and obtains the role of Local Representative for two more years, getting closer and closer to the National environment, organizing also the second ESN National School in L'Aquila.

Always involved in the organization of events, and always close to the Sections, given also his many trips, he holds the position of Responsible of Travelling Regularisation at the national level and then ultimately decides to run for the National Board.

In December 2018 he was elected Vice president of ESN Italy for 2019, during the National Platform of Bergamo.

 

Secretary: Maria Consuelo Mesiani

Maria Consuelo Mesiani, born in Vibo Valentia in October 1993, was grown up in Sapri, a small town in the province of Salerno.

After graduating from high school, she moved to Pisa, where she is finishing her studies in Philosophy at the University of Pisa.

In January 2017 a friend of her introduced her to the world of ESN, joining ESN Pisa as an active member in March 2017. In July 2017 she became local Secretary. She got in touch with the Italian Network first at the National School of Trieste in 2017 and then at the National Platform in Modena in October 2017. Since then, she has not been able to do without it.

At the National Platform of Bergamo, in December 2018, she was elected Secretary of ESN Italy for 2019.

 

Treasurer: Lidio Notaroberto

Lidio Notaroberto, 100% Lucanian, Spanish in the heart and Florentine by adoption. He was born in Salerno in July 1992. Curious traveller, TV series devourer and social animal on all fronts. He has two religions: Milan and Roger Federer. In adolescence, he was the fourth category of tennis.

After graduating from high school, he moved to Florence, where he graduated in Business Economics at the University of Florence in the academic year 2015/2016.

In 2014 he left for his Erasmus in Zaragoza, Spain; he spent there an incredible semester and met the world of ESN. Once back in Florence, he joined the ESN Florentia staff covering different roles, including that of local Treasurer for a year. After his graduation, he thought that one Erasmus was not enough and, for this reason, he left again for a postgraduate traineeship in Seville at an event organization agency, for three months.

He took part in the organization, with the members of the other Tuscan sections, of the first Tuscan School held in Abetone and he was Vice-Head of the Organising Committee of the Spring National Event of 2018.

During the National Platform of Catanzaro in December 2017 he was elected Treasurer of ESN Italy for 2018.

 

National Representative: Matteo Carbone

Matteo Carbone, born in Sassuolo (Modena) in February 1990, has grown in the area of engines and good food, between the provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia. From an early age with a bold passion for technology, he followed a technical study path up to a master's degree in computer engineering and the creation of a business unit linked to the latest technologies in an IT company in Reggio Emilia.

The perception of the international dimension of life comes during the last years of university, through an Erasmus experience in Sweden, in Borlänge. Upon his return, with all the new perspectives and priorities following this remarkable period abroad, he decided to stay within the international environment, joining the local Section of ESN ENEA Modena. During the semesters, he held the roles of Communication Manager, Vice president and Local Representative in the association, in continuous contact with international students during their exchange period in Emilia Romagna. In this time frame, through national and international events and roles, he has created a network of knowledge and a wealth of experience that he decided to make available to that fantastic Network that has made him grow so much, personally and professionally.

In December 2018 he applied and was elected as National Representative of ESN Italy, joining the National Board in 2019.

 

Communication Manager: Alessandra Palmulli

Alessandra Palmulli was born in 1991 in Lecco, she grew up in the province of Como and moved to Milan for work.

After the high school, she decided to continue her studies at Civica Scuola Interpreti e Traduttori Altieri Spinelli in Milan, where she graduated in Audiovisual Translation. In 2013, she left for her Erasmus in Geneva, where she met and fell in love with ESN. When she came back to Italy, she got in touch with the Section ESN Milano Statale, and later she became local Secretary. At the end of this experience, she approached the national level of the Association, joining the Communication Committee, and becoming sub-coordinator of the Translation Area and, after that, Coordinator of the whole Committee for two years. After the 7th Communication Summit in Brussels, she made her mind clear and decided to candidate to the role of Web & Communication Manager, being elected at the 4th NP of 2018 in Bergamo.

 

Responsabile Progetti: Alberto Spatola

Alberto Spatola. From 1992, year of his birth, to his twenties he lives in Western Genoa, spending some of his summertime in Southern Piedmont and passing through many different jobs (librarian, communication assistant, employee in an Escape Room) and many different passions: rowing, reading, the associative commitment and few time dedicated to his studies, but just enough to attend the faculty of Communication of the University of Genoa.

Everything changed after a trip to Norway, during which he lost his head over many things, and after a New Year’s Eve in Berlin he decided to apply to the Erasmus Programme. So, there where his grandfather had fought during World War II, in 2015 he spent 5 months in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

After coming back from that experience, he began his adventure in ESN.

He began in ESN Genova as Secretary and manager of many projects, then, after his Bachelor’s degree, he went to study Public and Political Communication in Turin, where he joined ESN Torino and started managing some projects as well. In the meanwhile, he became acquainted with ESN International through the Eduk8 project, for the Non-Formal Education, of which he is Facilitator.

These experiences lead him to candidate to the role of Project Manager of the 2019 Board of ESN Italy, and he was surprisingly elected during the fourth National Platform of 2018, in Bergamo.
